District Heating in Visp
Since operation and management of the district heating network were transferred to local company EnAlpin AG in 2013, today the two district heating networks are operated by Visp Infra AG (founded in 2020) together with EnAlpin AG.

Visp Centre
Since 1992, the Municipality of Visp has operated (via Fernwärme Visp AG in partnership with Lonza) a network for the supply of heat to public properties in the centre of Visp as well as the hospital and 150 further buildings.

An anergy network was installed in the newly connected development site of Visp West in 2007 and all new buildings in the booming district have since been connected to this sustainable, low temperature district heat supply.
