Day care centre (Kita)

All-day childcare for children aged three months to kindergarten entry.

Children who visit our day care centre (kita), do so for at least one whole day per week. These whole days are reserved and should be used regularly.

Sick children or children with infectious illnesses must not attend the kita and notification must be given by no later than 08.00 in the morning. The kita must be informed of any infectious diseases or a suspicion of these. If a child becomes ill in the kita, the parents will be informed immediately and asked to collect the child. This is necessary for the well-being of the sick child and so as not to infect the other children.

The carer must always be notified by telephone of the absence of a child as early as possible. If a child does not attend the Spiilchista on a reserved day owing to illness, additional holidays or for other reasons, the full childcare fee must still be paid.

If a child leaves the day care centre, a notice period of three months is required. Membership of the Spillchischta association is obligatory for all parents and costs CHF 30.00 per year. This is not cancelled automatically when a child leaves the kita and notice must be given.

The childcare fee is dependent on the net taxable income of the parents and is divided into tariff levels. Residents of municipalities without an agreement (Lonza employees) with the Spillchischta pay tariff 6 plus 20%.
