What is eMoving

eMovingCH is used to fulfill the personal registration obligation when private individuals move within Switzerland. According to the law (Art. 11 RHG), the obligation to register is 14 days from the date of the change of address.

The use of eUmzugCH is voluntary and does not result in any additional costs compared to going to the counter.

Who can register or deregister with eMoving

To use eMovingCH, you must be of legal age and capable of acting. Children of legal age who live in the same household as one or both parents and are moving with them must register the move themselves.

Unfortunately, this service is not available to people staying for the purpose of education or work (weekly stay)

Swiss nationals living abroad who are moving back to Switzerland must deregister with the Swiss representation abroad and unfortunately cannot use eMoving.

What should be noted in particular

Foreign nationals who are moving to Switzerland for the first time must register in person with the residents' services of the municipality.

Please first deregister at your previous place of residence and then register with the municipality of Visp within 14 days. Complete the form accordingly for additional family members.

Online registration is only possible for Swiss citizens. All others must register in person at the Visp municipal office.
