Results from the Municipality of Visp on the local referendum regarding the Sägematte project

On Sunday, June 14, 2026, the voters of the municipality of Visp made the following decision:

The “Sägematte Project” was decisively rejected with a high voter turnout of 64.17%.

Question 1: Land Exchange:
1,839 “No” votes to 1,194 “Yes” votes (Rejected with 60.6% of the vote against)

Question 2: Loan Resolution:
2,118 “No” votes to 921 “Yes” votes (Rejected with 69.7% of the vote against)

Question 3: Operating subsidy for daycare centers:
1,931 “No” to 1,040 “Yes” (Rejected with 64.99% voting “No”)
