Visp is the capital of the Visp district. Thanks to Lonza, Visp has developed into one of the world's largest locations for biopharmaceutical production. In addition to Lonza, Visp is home to around 800 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This means that Visp has around 12,500 jobs for every 8,709 inhabitants (as at 31.12.2024)
