What to Do in Case of Fire
Safety and Fire Prevention Tips and Recommendations:
Do not leave candles, tabletop grills, hot plates, etc., unattended!
- Candles and candle arrangements must be placed on suitable, non-flammable surfaces so that they cannot tip over, and at a sufficient distance from flammable materials so that the flames cannot ignite anything!
- Make sure all burners are turned off after cooking!
- Do not use the stove for purposes other than cooking, such as storing other utensils!
- If possible, install a child safety lock!
- Keep lighters, matches, and fireworks out of the reach of children!
- Avoid using all outlets in power strips!
- Always unroll the cable reel completely when in use!
- Unplug portable electrical devices from the power outlet after use! Do not connect damaged cords or defective devices to the power outlet!
- Maintain the required safety distances between flammable objects and fireplaces, stoves, etc.!
- Place hot ashes and cigarette butts only in non-flammable, closed containers on a non-flammable surface!
- Keep the stairwell free of flammable materials to ensure the escape route remains quickly and safely accessible! Always keep doors leading to the stairwell closed and do not prop them open!
- Do not store liquid propane containers, e.g., for camping and grilling, inside the building! Place them outside the building in such a way that any escaping gas cannot enter lower-lying shafts, and protect the containers from tipping over, mechanical damage, unauthorized access, and excessive heat.
- Use only charging stations for electric vehicles that are installed in accordance with professional standards and regulations!
- To ensure early warning for those present—enabling the fire department to be alerted as quickly as possible and allowing for rapid on-site firefighting efforts—it is strongly recommended that individual fire alarms be installed.
If you have any questions, please contact a fire safety specialist or your local fire department.
